A high-profile role has become available at a leading girls' high school in New South Wales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective teaching strategies to support students with additional learning needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a Learning Support Faculty to deliver high-quality teaching and support to students with additional learning needs;
- Liaising and coordinating Departmental and external support services to meet specific learning needs;
- Collecting and analysing data to inform teaching practice and cater for diverse needs;
- Fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and collaboratively developing and implementing strategies to meet specific learning needs;

Selection Criteria
The following selection criteria will be used to assess applications:
- Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice;
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs;
- Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams;
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents;
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning;
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy;
- Proven leadership of a Learning Support Faculty to deliver high-quality teaching and support to students with additional learning needs;
- Proven ability to collect and analyse data, and build staff capacity to use data to improve practice and cater for diverse needs;
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to foster positive relationships with stakeholders and collaboratively develop and implement strategies to meet specific learning needs;
- Demonstrated capacity to collaboratively develop and implement programs aligned with the school's strategic directions, working with executive teams and the broader school community;
