About the Role:


The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and inspiring our site staff to provide an incomparable experience to all customers. This includes developing high-performing tradespeople, ensuring job quality and consistency, and providing open and honest feedback.


You will also be responsible for identifying training needs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability, as well as proactively following up and seeking leads from various sources for new client acquisition.


Your Key Responsibilities:



  • Ensure all site staff are enabled to provide an "Incomparable Experience" to all customers
  • Lead and inspire all staff to create a positive team-based culture that is results-focused and driven towards success
  • Develop high-performing tradespeople, focused on job quality and consistency
  • Identify and act on training needs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability
  • Proactively follow up and seek leads from various sources for new client acquisition
  • Provide timely quotations to existing and new customers, and converting opportunities into jobs
  • Monitor budgets and costs on service jobs
  • Monitor and provide estimates on plumbing jobs
  • Ensure that all executed jobs align to mission statement, vision, and values
  • Participate actively in weekly management meetings and execute tactical and operational plans assigned
  • Clearly communicate service department goals and KPIs to relevant staff

Your Skills and Qualifications:



  • Outstanding plumbing skills and job/product knowledge
  • Minimum of 10 years' plumbing industry experience
  • Previous experience as a service manager (trade business preferred)
  • Completed Certificate 4 including backflow and TMV courses
  • Clear criminal history (in line with specific customer requirements)
  • Driver's licence - C class or above
  • Proven ability to be organised and complete tasks on time
  • Enjoy providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills (by email and phone)
  • Be a problem solver with the ability to think on your feet to resolve issues quickly
  • Be able to manage multiple jobs at the same time
  • Competent using all mainstream IT operating systems, including cloud-based software systems (training will be provided for our specific operating systems)
  • Have a warm and friendly personality
