Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Plumbing Sales and Service Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding plumbing skills and job/product knowledge, as well as a minimum of 10 years of experience in the plumbing industry.

They will also have previous experience as a service manager, preferably in a trade business, and will be able to lead and inspire our team to create a positive and results-focused culture.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills, able to think on their feet and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire our team to create a positive and results-focused culture
  • Ensure all site staff are enabled to provide an incomparable experience to our customers
  • Develop and implement training programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability
  • Proactively follow up and seek leads from various sources for new client acquisition
  • Provide timely quotations to existing and new customers, and convert opportunities into jobs
  • Monitor budgets and costs on service jobs and provide estimates on plumbing jobs
  • Ensure that all executed jobs align to our mission statement, vision, and values
  • Participate actively in weekly management meetings and execute tactical and operational plans assigned
  • Clearly communicate service department goals and KPIs to relevant staff

Requirements

  • Outstanding plumbing skills and job/product knowledge
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the plumbing industry
  • Previous experience as a service manager, preferably in a trade business
  • Completed Certificate 4, including backflow and TMV courses
  • Clear criminal history (in line with specific customer requirements)
  • Driver's license - C class or above
  • Proven ability to be organized and complete tasks on time
  • Enjoy providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills (by email and phone)
  • Be a problem solver with the ability to think on your feet to resolve issues quickly
  • Be able to manage multiple jobs at the same time
  • Competent using all mainstream IT operating systems, including cloud-based software systems (training will be provided for our specific operating systems)
  • Have a warm and friendly personality
