Job Title: Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at The Travel Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our tours and charters, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the utilization of operations staff at Alice Springs, ensuring efficient deployment of resources.
  • Liaise with Senior Management to discuss business operations, sales, and staffing at Alice Springs.
  • Coordinate staff meetings, appraisals, training, and selection to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Roster and schedule staff in line with fatigue management guidelines.
  • Manage depot and fleet utilization records, and prepare reports to inform business decisions.
  • Investigate and manage incidents, including breakdowns, accidents, and client complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Manage financial responsibilities, including budgets, payroll, and reporting.
  • Support the Workshop staff and Senior Management in achieving business objectives.
  • Oversee the running of all tours and charters, focusing on costs, safety, productivity, and quality service.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an Operations role, preferably in the tourism industry.
  • Strong managerial skills, with the ability to lead and motivate staff.
  • Vehicle coordination knowledge and experience with fleet management.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities and create efficiencies.
  • HR Driver's license or ability to obtain.
  • Passenger Authority or H Endorsement or ability to obtain.
  • First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
  • May require some travel.
