This leadership position involves mentoring students and Youth Care Coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure they reach their full potential.

About the Role

The Clinical Team Lead will be responsible for:

  • Providing support, guidance, and mentoring of students and Youth Care Coordinators
  • Assisting in progressing the growth and development of the service, in line with the Strategic Plan and client demand
  • Undertaking assessments of young people as appropriate, and working with them at different stages of mental illness
  • Collaborating with young people to develop individual recovery plans and/or service plans that are person-centred and feedback-led
  • Facilitating intake and case conference meetings with internal and external service providers to ensure a positive and collaborative approach to assisting the young person

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or other relevant allied health discipline
  • Current full registration (or a provisional psychologist towards the end of their internship) with the relevant authority
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' clinical experience in the mental health sector
  • An in-depth knowledge of recovery-focused practice, specifically to the youth population
  • A clear understanding and/or knowledge of the concept and impact of mental health issues in the community
