Job Description:

An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the pioneering team that will shape the Queensland Government's new ICT Procurement Team. We're seeking seasoned procurement experts with a background in leading IT category management.

The successful candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of managing and mentoring teams responsible for expert ICT procurement services, including policy development, annual procurement plans, processes, data extraction, reporting, and analysis.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to manage and lead a team of experts providing ICT procurement services, encompassing policy development, annual procurement plans, processes, data extraction, reporting, and analysis.
  • Negotiate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels while developing client engagement platforms for ICT Procurement.
  • Provide specialist advice to internal and external clients on procurement, operational, and contracting issues.
  • Develop high-level analytical strategies to address complex procurement matters, including market engagement models, category management, and source-to-contract concepts.
  • E nsure compliance with ICT procurement and contract management by implementing frameworks and developing strategies, tools, and templates that align with Queensland Government Procurement standards.
  • Conduct online and face-to-face training sessions based on newly developed tools and templates.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of experience, education, and achievement.
  • Technical/operational/educational experience in end-to-end procurement activities from business planning to tendering and contract award.
  • Ability to develop policy, procedures, frameworks, and undertake training for these documents.
