Job Summary

The Contract Administrator role involves overseeing all subcontract agreements ensuring they are administered meticulously according to stipulations and provisions including correspondence variations claims and payments.

This position requires a deep understanding of the head contract to properly manage subcontracts and protect the project s financial interests collaborate with procurement team to create and manage supplier and subcontractor tender packages analyse and negotiate offers to achieve cost effective management prepare subcontractor agreements coordinate reports ensure rigorous compliance with contractual obligations verify that subcontractors and suppliers fulfill their commitments maintain systematic records archives in accordance with project procedures participate in cash flow forecasts for assigned contracts process progress claims monitor payment receipts manage subcontractor claims time extensions variations refer disputed claims to subcontractor manager for decision collaborate with team members to assess subcontractors progress performance and cost gather data for analysis reporting ensure industrial requirements for each subcontractor on the project are approved maintained maintain registers of contracts variations delays extensions of time etc. for inclusion in reports.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance Administration Engineering Quantity Surveying Law or other relevant field required at least 10 years experience in contract administration sound business acumen solid background in tendering financial management contract administration interpretation experienced in claims dispute resolution leading negotiations proven leadership negotiating lateral thinking skills financial management demonstrable behaviour reducing costs meeting budgets excellent communication skills written verbal computer proficient SAP experience an advantage.
Responsibilities
  1. Administer subcontract agreements meticulously.
  2. Manage subcontracts and protect project financial interests.
  3. Collaborate with procurement team to create and manage tender packages.
  4. Analyse and negotiate offers to achieve cost-effective management.
  5. Prepare subcontractor agreements and coordinate reports.
  6. Verify that subcontractors and suppliers fulfill their commitments.
  7. Maintain systematic records archives.
  8. Participate in cash flow forecasts and process progress claims.
  9. Monitor payment receipts and manage subcontractor claims.
  10. Refer disputed claims to subcontractor manager.
  11. Collaborate with team members to assess subcontractors progress performance and cost.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance Administration Engineering Quantity Surveying Law or other relevant field.
  2. At least 10 years experience in contract administration.
  3. Solid background in tendering financial management contract administration interpretation.
  4. Experienced in claims dispute resolution leading negotiations.
  5. Proven leadership negotiating lateral thinking skills.
  6. Financial management demonstrable behaviour reducing costs meeting budgets.
  7. Excellent communication skills written verbal computer proficient.
