About the Role: We are seeking a skilled data engineer to join our dynamic team at Finity Consulting. As a key member of our data team, you will work on both consultancy and internal projects, collaborating with clients, internal business teams, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with external clients to deliver outcomes within advisory and consultancy projects.
  • Interpret data and resolve data issues with the internal business and technical teams.
  • Implement and support data workloads using modern technologies like Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, and dbt.
  • Support internal software developers, data analysts, and data scientists on different data products and initiatives.
  • Create internal solutions and frameworks to automate processes and implement best practices, standards, and patterns.
  • Implement dashboards and reports.

About You: To succeed in this role, you should have a strong desire and passion for working with data. Your skills and qualifications should include:

  • A deep understanding of data warehouse and data lake concepts.
  • Experience working with some of our tech stack, including Microsoft Azure Data, Snowflake, Databricks, and dbt.
  • SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases.
  • Python knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience implementing and supporting ETL/ELT.
  • Experience in data profiling, data analysis, and data modeling.
  • Data visualization/analysis using Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform) is a plus.
  • Problem-solving and self-learning skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of taking initiative and contributing to the team.

Working Arrangements: Hybrid work arrangements (3 days in the office) based in The Rocks, Sydney, NSW. Full working rights in Australia. Estimated Salary Range: AU$90,000 - AU$140,000 per annum.
