Job Title: Senior Data Solutions Architect

Location: Flexible, Remote or Onsite at Client Location (USA)

Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Solutions Architect to join our team at Whizdom Recruitment. As a key member of our data practice, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data solutions for our clients in the finance and regulation industry.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement data solutions using big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and users to understand service/product requirements.
  • Liaise with solution architects and designers to translate business requirements into epics, features, and stories used by delivery teams.
  • Develop collaborative working group sessions with business and technical SMEs to firm up requirements and solution views.
  • Analyse data from various sources and model concepts like referential integrity, entity-relationship, etc.
  • Provide support to the team, work closely with project/iteration managers to remove team impediments and lead by example.
  • Mentor junior IBM consultants in the practice and client engagements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Tech BA or equivalent in IT Consulting or other technology business units across the industry.
  • Significant IT Business Analyst experience in enterprise/big data projects with a combination of technical and functional business focus.
  • Must have experience in designing data mapping from source to target systems with knowledge on business rules, data transformations, and reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in SQL to query and analyse data from various sources and modelling concepts like referential integrity, entity-relationship, etc.
  • Knowledge in data modelling methodologies and data engineering.
  • Strong experience in Agile environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with clients and a drive to exceed expectations.
  • Diverse practical experience in project delivery frameworks such as Scaled Agile, Distributed Agile, Agile Sprints, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.
