Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Ecological Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in guiding client projects from inception to completion.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ecological consultant to lead high-profile projects and contribute to our team's success. You will be responsible for managing project delivery, ensuring timely completion while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

  • You will oversee project management and delivery, guaranteeing projects are completed on time and to the highest standards;
  • You will foster effective relationships with clients, providing expert advice and recommendations to meet their needs and establish long-term working partnerships;
  • You will mentor and manage a small group of field-based ecologists, developing their skills and capabilities in conducting surveys and preparing reports, while guiding project teams to deliver outstanding work;
Key Responsibilities:Project Management

Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless delivery and meeting deadlines;

Client Relationships

Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions;

Team Leadership

Mentor and develop a team of ecologists, enhancing their skills and abilities to undertake surveys and prepare reports;

Quality Assurance

Ensure high-quality reporting and reviewing, guaranteeing accuracy and attention to detail;

Regulatory Compliance

Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements relevant to ecology at local, state, and federal levels;

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in ecology or a related field;
  • Proven experience in ecological field assessments and report preparation;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills;
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation;
