Located in Melbourne's Northern Metropolitan area, this role offers a part-time position from 28/01/2025. As a Business Management Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational programs to achieve specific student outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced teacher to contribute to the school program beyond the classroom, with a focus on increasing student performance and educational outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.

As a Classroom Teacher Range 2, you will play a significant role in assisting the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes, determined by the school strategic plan and state-wide priorities.

You will be expected to model exemplary classroom practice, mentor/coach other teachers in the school, and provide expert advice on content, processes, and strategies that will shape individual and school professional learning.

This role requires a strong commitment to defining quality teacher practice and promoting student learning and engagement.

You will be required to work collaboratively with staff to use student data to inform teaching approaches that enable targets related to improving student learning outcomes to be achieved.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice, and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community.
  • Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, with a commitment to reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
