Procurement and Grant Management Opportunities

We seek an experienced professional to join our team in delivering procurement and grant management processes for human and social services. The successful candidate will establish and manage long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.

This role involves conducting robust market analysis and planning to inform commissioning and investment decisions, as well as ensuring governance procedures for procurement negotiation requirements. You will develop procurement and grant documentation, applying high-level governance practices and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.


About the Role

The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events. Our values drive an inclusive and collaborative culture where we provide meaningful help and financial support to communities.

  • Practical information;
  • Referral to support services;
  • Distribution and coordination of financial assistance through procurement and grants processing;
  • Developing and funding projects in disaster-affected communities.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting robust market analysis and planning to inform commissioning and investment decisions.
  • Establishing and ensuring governance procedures for procurement negotiation requirements.
  • Developing procurement and grant documentation, ensuring high-level governance practices and compliance with legislation, investment specifications, and departmental policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in procurement and grant management processes with financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills; critical analysis and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to escalate issues.
  • Experience in end-to-end contract management and the establishment of contract management plans (preferably for human and social service contracts).
  • Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks related to contract management, procurement, and grants administration.
  • Experience with procurement and grant management systems.
