Clinical Nurse Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support and clinical development/training to staff, while fostering a preceptor/mentor role.

The ideal candidate will have a current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), relevant post-registration experience, extensive knowledge of RPA Emergency Department policy and procedure, and be competent to work in all areas of a tertiary Emergency Department.

The Clinical Nurse Educator will formulate, coordinate, and evaluate unit-based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures.

The aim of the position is to use a participatory methodology to build the capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidence-based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.

A patient and family-focused culture that supports the NUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.

The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical development/training to staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)

  • Competent to work in all areas of a tertiary Emergency Department
