Used Car Purchasing Specialist

The role of a Used Car Purchasing Specialist involves sourcing and purchasing high-quality vehicles for resale. As part of our sales team, you will work closely with our management to optimize stock levels and ensure maximum profit margins.

This position requires exceptional negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate vehicle condition accurately. You must be able to think strategically and make informed decisions that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase a minimum of 20 used cars per month, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Source vehicles from various channels, including private sellers, suppliers, and dealerships.
  • Negotiate prices effectively, ensuring competitive deals for both parties involved.
  • Inspect vehicles thoroughly, assessing their market value based on data and inspection reports.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Occasionally sell retail motor vehicles onsite, supporting the sales department.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Used Car Buying/Valuer role.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, including strategic planning and financial management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, achieve set targets, and demonstrate self-motivation and resilience.
  • Valid driver's license.
