Job Overview

This is a challenging role for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage a team of engineers and designers in the design and development of complex mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools. They will also have practical knowledge of prototyping, fabrication, and testing of mechanical systems.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and documentation skills who can drive design reviews, design documentation, and continuous improvement practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the mechanical design office.
  • Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems including actuator arms, gearboxes, and aircraft structural assemblies.
  • Ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with electronics, avionics, and composite structures.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in mechanical design for complex systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience in an engineering environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools).
  • Practical knowledge of prototyping, fabrication, and testing of mechanical systems.
Desirable Skills
  • Aerospace engineering background with mechanical design experience.
  • Knowledge of lightweight structural design and materials.
