Director Strategy, Economics, Insights and Reporting

A pivotal role in setting an organization's direction by leading the development of long-range strategy, delivering enterprise reporting, integrating performance intelligence, and providing robust advice to guide decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and integrate long-range enterprise strategy and planning frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality internal and external reporting, including strategic plans.
  • Interpret complex data and policy signals and provide advice to guide positioning.
  • Offer authoritative guidance on economic trends and the feasibility of strategic directions.
  • Develop insights to inform strategic messaging and support communication of goals and outcomes.
  • Establish and continuously improve enterprise performance measurement and evaluation frameworks.
  • Provide strategic foresight through scenario modelling and risk-informed planning.
  • Steward an insight ecosystem – connecting data holders, surfacing strategic questions, and reducing duplication.
  • Collaborate with teams and the academic community to publish research that contributes to policy debate and establishes a thought leader position.
  • Partner with agencies to ensure positioning to respond to and influence national policy agendas.
  • Represent the organization in external forums and participate in relevant communities of practice to ensure informed of best practices in data analytics and economic modelling.
  • Build strategic capability across the organization by modelling analytical rigour, collaboration, and clear direction.
  • Lead a high-performing team with a shared commitment to integrity, evidence-based decision-making, and public service outcomes.
