Electrical Tradesperson Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Tradesperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical installations, cable systems, and industrial processes. They will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and commission electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults using appropriate test equipment
  • Connect systems to circuit breakers, transformers, and control equipment
  • Inspect electrical installations for compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Advising on potential hazards or system issues
  • Perform continuity and insulation resistance testing
  • Ensure all documentation is updated and submitted to the site supervisor
  • Participate in quality assurance processes (ITPs, ITRs)
  • Engage in the development and implementation of Safe Work Method Statements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current A-Class Electrical Licence
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • LV Rescue & Resuscitation Certificate
  • Construction White Card
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical and random drug & alcohol testing

Highly Regarded Skills & Qualifications:

  • Leading Hand or Supervisory experience
  • Experience with industrial installations, cable systems (MV, LV, DC, Control, Fire, Comms)
  • Dual Trade, Instrumentation, MV Cable Jointing, or HVAC qualifications
  • Safe Working at Heights certification
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
  • Quality assurance and compliance testing experience
  • Familiarity with Australian Electrical Standards and regulations
