Job Title: Senior Electrical Specialist

Overview

Thiess Mount Pleasant Operation is a prominent mining site located just outside Muswellbrook, New South Wales, Australia. As part of this Greenfields project, you will have the opportunity to shape it into a World Class Operation. This role involves working on a 4/3, 12-hour roster – dayshift only.

About the Role

As an Electrical Specialist at Mount Pleasant, you will assist with performing the servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance of mine infrastructure facilities and large-scale mobile mining equipment in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems.

Responsibilities
  • Support the electrical supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the electrical department, such as plan execution, projects and parts scoping/ordering
  • Completing General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change outs to a high standard
  • Installation and maintenance of the machine guidance technology and fleet management
  • Installation of new infrastructure facilities as required
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
  • Maintenance of digital radio infrastructure
  • Assist with the maintenance of wireless and hardwire networks
  • Conduct required inspection to maximise equipment utilisation
Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should possess:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate of Proficiency
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007
  • Electrical supervisor's/contractor's license as issued by the Department of Fair Trading
  • Current CPR and low voltage rescue
