Ipswich, South Dakota, Australia beBeeTransport Full time $60,000 - $80,000
Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Transport & Customer Service Coordinator. This position involves coordinating temperature-controlled shipping containers from departure through transit and arrival, overseeing the entire process, dealing with receivers, planning and coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the integrity and timely transport of perishable cargo.

Key responsibilities include pre-planning collection to final delivery, liaising with UK receivers to meet required transit times, and coordinating an effective delivery schedule. Additionally, you will plan and execute reefer/container delivery upon arrival in the UK, including arranging port-to-destination transportation, considering factors like truck availability, route optimization, and delivery timelines.

You will engage with port authorities, customs officials, logistics partners, shipping agents, haulage contractors, and customers for clear and timely communication, keeping all parties informed throughout the delivery process. It is also essential to monitor reefer container temperatures during delivery, collaborating with haulage contractors for proper handling and temperature control.

Furthermore, you will complete relevant documentation accurately and promptly, including delivery instructions, transport permits, and billing records, complying with regulatory requirements. You may be required to work evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis for on-call support.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • High computer literacy using online logistical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis for on-call support.
