Gilmour Space is a leading Australian rocket company, pioneering next-generation hybrid propulsion technologies for small satellite launch vehicles.

The successful candidate will lead the manufacturing team in producing high-quality components vital to the success of its satellite launch vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the manufacturing department, liaising closely with engineering teams to fulfill the performance criteria of the product, process and build schedule
  • Perform work accurately and to a high standard, according to procedures, specifications and instructions
  • Ensure that the department is adequately serviced from multiple aspects such as workload planning, consumables ordering and services to achieve operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with team members in solving technical problems as they arise
  • Ability to work outside of regular hours, as necessary, during certain production phases
  • Ensure quality control standards are adhered to at all times

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Trade qualification or similar trade
  • In-depth knowledge of additive manufacturing techniques
  • 2+ years in a leadership role within a manufacturing industry
  • NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience within a manufacturing industry
  • Strong leadership background
  • Efficient mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanics hand tools & power tools
  • Thorough knowledge of current and future additive manufacturing techniques and technologies
  • Experience in aerospace assembly desirable
