Automotive Financial Leader

This is a chance to join an established automotive dealership group as a senior financial professional. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a dealership or automotive accounting, preferably across multiple franchises.
Main Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management reports, P&Ls, and forecasts that accurately reflect the business's financial performance.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, budgets, and variance analysis to ensure effective use of resources.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax and financial regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate vehicle stock control and floorplan reporting, optimizing inventory levels for maximum efficiency.
- End-of-Month Processes: Lead end-of-month processes, reconciliations, and financial close, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
- External Relations: Liaise with external auditors and internal teams as needed, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
- Procurement and Supplier Management: Oversee procurement and supplier agreements, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- HR Support: Manage payroll and provide initial HR support, ensuring seamless integration with other business functions.
- Professional Qualifications: CPA/CA qualification highly regarded, demonstrating expertise and commitment to excellence.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of dealership operations and DMS platforms (e.g., Titan, Pentana, AutoIT), enhancing ability to drive business growth.
- Start-Up Experience: Dealership start-up experience highly valued, showcasing adaptability and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills, facilitating data analysis and informed decision-making.
- Soft Skills: High level of accuracy, analytical skills, and time management, combined with a proactive attitude and genuine desire to engage with the broader team.
