Key Responsibilities
  • Group Reporting and Consolidations: Prepare and review group financial reports, including statutory reporting and consolidations, to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Accounting Advisory: Provide technical expertise and business acumen to support complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and disposals.
  • Sustainability Reporting: Collaborate with the sustainability reporting team to design and implement frameworks that ensure compliance with current and emerging ESG reporting requirements.
  • Accounting Policies: Lead the development and refinement of enterprise-wide accounting policies to ensure they remain aligned with the evolving needs of the business.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the business, ensuring effective communication and alignment on financial matters.
  • Project Management: Lead reporting-related projects, managing them from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope.
  • Team Development: Contribute to the professional development of the broader finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors to streamline the audit process and ensure financial reporting meets all required standards.
Requirements
  • Degree holder and CA/CPA qualified with 4+ years relevant experience.
  • Must come from a Big 4/Mid-Tier firm or a large and listed commercial environment.
  • Exposure to technical accounting, accounting policies and/or M&A transactions is beneficial.
  • Significant technical exposure/experience in IFRS.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems - SAP is desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to liaise with senior stakeholders.
