About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Economics and Commerce Teacher to join our team at St Joseph's Catholic College. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to the development of our school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Economics and Commerce to secondary students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support academic growth.
  • Contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle, participating in professional development opportunities and collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
  • Develop and maintain a motivating and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum programs, ensuring a cohesive and effective learning experience for students.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the broader school community, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Requirements
  • Highly effective classroom practitioner with a strong commitment to Catholic education.
  • Ability to teach secondary Economics and Commerce, with a focus on creating engaging and challenging learning experiences.
  • Capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle, with a focus on student achievement and academic growth.
  • Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices, creating a motivating and inclusive learning environment that caters to diverse learning needs.
  • Skilled in analyzing and reflecting on student learning data, with a focus on ensuring learning growth for all students.
  • Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments, with a focus on positive student welfare practices.
