About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Datacenter IT Technician Trainee to join our team at Amazon. As a Datacenter IT Technician Trainee, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, which are the backbone of our cloud computing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot hardware and related problems
  • Perform basic level OS troubleshooting
  • Perform basic level configuration troubleshooting
  • Perform replacement of parts and devices
  • Perform storage media sanitization and destruction tasks
  • Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing resolution of trouble tickets efficiently
  • Follow DC operations, Logistics, Security and Safety related processes and guidelines
  • Practice and enforce Amazon's Security and Safety best practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers) and its configurations
  • Basic IT troubleshooting experience and/or knowledge
  • A valid driver's license and your own vehicle to travel between sites
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A degree or diploma at University or TAFE
  • Linux knowledge
  • Networking knowledge
  • Passion for IT infrastructure and hardware
