Job Title: Critical Environment Technician

As a Critical Environment Technician in Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports our datacenters. This involves coordinating with suppliers, recognizing safe work environments, and having a hands-on understanding of critical environment equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and supervise critical environment-related facility equipment, building, and grounds for unsafe or abnormal conditions.
  • Utilize internal computerized maintenance management systems to track equipment assets and complete work order requests.
  • Respond to and lead onsite incident response teams for abnormal conditions that impact operations.
  • Enhance, develop, or follow emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures in relation to CE operations and incidents.
  • Perform various types of maintenance and repairs following methods of procedure and standard operating procedures.
  • Have a hands-on understanding of equipment and how to troubleshoot independently.
  • Provide consultation to lower-level colleagues in troubleshooting systems and problems.
  • Understand, follow, and ensure safety and security requirements and business processes to properly perform work in a safe, quality, and reliable manner.
