This position involves assisting participants in navigating health and disability services, maintaining clinical areas, and supporting research initiatives involving First Nations Peoples. This role is essential in fostering community trust and delivering culturally safe and effective health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide cultural brokerage and support to First Nations participants
- Enhance cultural awareness and mentor staff and students
- Assist participants in navigating health and disability services
- Maintain clinical areas and support research initiatives
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, cultural brokerage, and mentorship
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Relevant qualifications (health or community-related degree, Aboriginal Health Worker, or Allied Health Assistant Cert IV)
