About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead our EHS transformation journey as an EHS Manager. This role will be instrumental in driving compliance, improving safety culture, and enhancing operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement local EHS procedures aligned with national requirements, ensuring seamless execution across the organization.
  • Cultivate a proactive EHS incident management approach through coaching, support, and timely reporting, recording, investigation, and closure of corrective actions.
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of national safety and wellbeing programs, fostering a culture of safety awareness and engagement.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (AS45001, ISO14001) and ensure adherence to relevant requirements, conducting internal and external audits to drive corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day EHS matters, navigating complex operational challenges and injury management effectively.
  • Deliver training programs to build safety awareness, promote cultural change, and enhance workforce capabilities.

About You

You are a confident EHS expert with a proven track record in fast-paced environments, possessing strong relationship management skills, resilience, and expertise in navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

A key aspect of this role is your ability to influence diverse stakeholders, leveraging exceptional interpersonal skills, facilitation, change management, and organizational agility to drive results.

Requirements:

  • Formal qualifications in Health and Safety (Diploma or higher preferred)
  • Proven experience in EHS roles within medium to large organizations, ideally in FMCG or construction
  • Expertise in compliance and safety management systems, including AS45001 and ISO14001
  • Experience with return to work and injury management

What We Offer

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and perks.
