Research Position in Mathematics

This is a full-time, fixed-term research role at Macquarie University's Faculty of Science & Engineering. The appointee will contribute to the production of high-quality research and support limited teaching and administrative duties.

The position supports research activities within the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, focusing on partial differential equations and/or geometric analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research under limited supervision, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Contribute to journal publications and other academic outputs.
  • Engage in professional activities such as attending conferences and seminars in the field of expertise.
  • Perform limited administrative duties related to research.
  • Make occasional contributions to teaching programs as determined by the requirements of the School.

Requirements:

  • Hold a doctoral qualification in Mathematics.
  • Bring a strong track record in research aligned with partial differential equations and/or geometric analysis.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, contribute to team-based projects, and guide postgraduate students.
  • Capable of publishing in high-quality academic journals and engaging professionally within the mathematical sciences community.
