Research Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to contribute to our research efforts in the field of Mathematics and Statistics.

The primary focus will be on developing novel theories and methodologies for statistical inference, particularly for stochastic point processes with incomplete data. This involves applying advanced mathematical techniques to address complex problems across various disciplines, including environmental sciences, finance, economics, neuroscience, criminology, media studies, and social sciences.

  • This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with renowned experts in the field, including Emeritus Professor William Dunsmuir and Prof Jiancang Zhuang.

The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in Mathematics or Statistics, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

A fixed-term contract of 18 months is offered, with a competitive salary range of $106K-$113K, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

Key responsibilities include:
