General Maintenance Technician

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the facilities are always looking and operating at their best. You will be part of a dynamic team providing reactive and planned preventative maintenance to maintain homes to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with a team to provide day-to-day maintenance, including general repairs, patching & painting, replacing fixtures, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain facilities to the highest standard by adhering to established protocols.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with no two days the same, collaborating with contractors where necessary to ensure all work is carried out according to compliance requirements.
  • Carry out regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure accurate completion of paperwork, documentation, and system processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in an aged care setting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, colleagues, and external contractors.
  • A valid driver's license for New South Wales.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines.
