
Arts and Cultural Operations Specialist

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing operational policies and procedures, managing finance, programming, production, professional development, marketing and communications, contract management and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in managing community-based arts and cultural projects, and a proven track record in supporting and empowering artists and communities from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies and policies that align with our organisational goals
- Manage finances, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient use of funds
- Coordinate and manage programs, events, and activities that promote arts and cultural development
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including artists, cultural practitioners, and community groups
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver strategic plans and initiatives
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in arts, culture, or related fields
- Demonstrated success in leading community-based arts and cultural projects and programs
- Experience in event management, marketing, and communications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Highly developed problem-solving and decision-making skills
