About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Data Lead to join our team at Cognizant. As a key member of our program, you will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive Test Data Management strategy, ensuring the successful execution of testing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Test Data Management Strategy: Develop and implement a robust test data management plan to support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with QA, development, and business teams to understand data requirements and ensure seamless data integration.
  • Design and Implement Test Data Sets: Create and maintain high-quality test data sets to support functional, integration, and performance testing.
  • Ensure Data Integrity and Consistency: Develop and implement data masking and anonymization techniques to protect sensitive information and ensure data integrity across different test environments.
  • Automate Test Data Generation and Management: Design and implement automated test data generation and management processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Test Data Issues: Identify and resolve test data issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to testing activities.
  • Provide Guidance and Mentorship: Mentor junior team members on test data management best practices and provide guidance on data management strategies.
Required Capabilities and Experience
  • Proven Experience in Test Data Management: Minimum 5 years of experience in test data management within a software QA environment.
  • Strong Understanding of Database Concepts and SQL: In-depth knowledge of database concepts and SQL programming language.
  • Experience with Cloud-Based Data Generation and Management Solutions: Experience with AWS or Azure cloud-based data generation and management solutions.
  • Experience with Data Masking, Anonymization, and Test Data Generation Tools: Familiarity with data masking, anonymization, and test data generation tools.
  • Familiarity with Automation Frameworks and Scripting Languages: Experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Python or Java.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills and Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality test data sets.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced, Agile Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Data Privacy Regulations and Compliance Standards: Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
  • Certification in Software Testing or Data Management: Certification in software testing or data management is a plus.
