Culturally Sensitive Care Worker

Aboriginal Home Health provides culturally appropriate in-home care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elders and communities. We empower our clients to live independently at home for as long as possible, receiving ongoing support and connecting with their community.
Key Responsibilities- Domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, bed making and meal preparation
- Social support such as accompanying clients to medical appointments, shopping and social events
- Personal care duties including showering, feeding and toileting; assisting with oral medication (for personal care workers)
- A compassionate and respectful carer
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's licence
- Experienced or non-experienced applicants encouraged to apply
- Competitive hourly rates
- Travel allowance of $0.92 per kilometre plus paid travel time
- Additional yearly leave days for well-being, community and deep listening
- 14 week paid parental leave for both parents
