Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring large-scale database environments, implementing replication strategies, tuning databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience as a DBA in enterprise environments

Responsibilities include:

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor high-throughput PostgreSQL databases
  • Implement replication, tuning, upgrades, patching, and backup strategies
  • Contribute to automation and monitoring efforts
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams globally
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and change management

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced PostgreSQL expertise (replication, tuning, backup/recovery, partitioning)
  • Experience with RHEL (preferably RHEL 9), clustering, and shell scripting
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
  • Experience with Oracle (Exadata/ODA, OEM, patching/migrations)
  • Familiarity with Commvault, pgBackRest, or equivalent backup solutions
