Job Title: Calibration Laboratory Manager

Civil Calibration Services has a position available in our Sydney office for a new laboratory manager.

We are an Australian owned and operated company that calibrates equipment for the Civil Construction Industry as well as providing servicing, repair and commissioning of soil moisture density gauges, as well as calibration of items of force, length and mass.

As the laboratory manager you will be responsible to:

  • Service, repair and calibrate nuclear densometers as well as other devices from time to time.
  • Achieve sales targets which will be set down from time to time.
  • Maintain our NATA scope of accreditation by liaising with the national technical manager and supervising local staff.

You will need a sound knowledge and understanding of:

  • The principles of the calibrations, measurements and tests performed.
  • Relevant standards and specifications applicable to each task.

This is a full-time position working 8am to 5pm, 5 days a week. A company vehicle will also be provided. A valid driver's license is essential.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as science or engineering.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a laboratory management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of organisational skills.

Preferred qualifications include a valid driver's license and previous experience working in a laboratory environment.
