Research Analyst Role Overview

The role involves critically analysing fund managers, writing research reports and managing relationships with fund managers.

This is a key position in our team where you will play a significant part in researching and assessing fund managers and their products.

As part of this team, you will be involved in various consulting assignments, write articles including sector wrap up reports and talking points, and undertake other administrative, research and analytical work as required.

  • Key responsibilities include researching and critically assessing fund managers, writing succinct and reader-friendly research reports and playing a role in formulating and justifying opinions on investment strategies.
  • Additionally, the role involves managing ad-hoc analytical assignments on investments, managed funds and products, and undertaking other administrative and analytical tasks as necessary.
Requirements
  • Applicants should have a strong passion for investing, demonstrated through personal knowledge of and interest in investment markets.
  • Strong critical reasoning skills are also essential, along with the ability to think creatively and challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, ideally with the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
  • The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree preferably in a finance or business-related discipline and have relevant postgraduate studies.
  • 3 years work experience ideally but not necessarily gained within a financial services environment.
  • RG146 qualifications or equivalent desirable.
