Senior Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a Case Manager to join our Family Based Care team servicing the Wollongong & Illawarra region.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with children, young people, their families and carers to create and implement case plans that strive towards achieving permanency goals.
- Build and maintain strong, functional relationships with both the children and their families, ensuring every voice is heard and every need is met.
- Support and monitor placements, guide carers in their foster care journey and help them implement effective strategies that best support the children and young people within their care.
- Relevant bachelor's degree such as Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or similar.
- Previous case management experience within an Out of Home Care (OOHC) /Child Protection setting.
- Experience supporting Children & Young People with disability, who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect.
- Working understanding of the NSW Permanency Support Program.
- Understanding of trauma and its effects on children and young people.
- Current unrestricted drivers' licence.
