Job Description

As an In-Home Care Professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality personal support to our customers in their homes. Your day will include:

  • Domestic Assistance: Cleaning the home of older people so they have a safe and beautiful place to live.
  • Meal Preparation and Shopping: Helping our customers with meal preparation and shopping.
  • Social Support and Transport: Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
  • Personal Care: Getting them up, showered and dressed for the day, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Respite and Emotional Support: Providing respite and emotional support.
  • Social Support and Transport to Appointments: Social support and transport to appointments.
  • Complex Care: Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 6 months work experience as a support or care worker including experience with personal care skills.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days – Monday to Friday, no night or weekend work.
