Education Excellence Lead

The Education Excellence Lead will spearhead the implementation of educational programs to drive excellence in Specialty Education Pathways (Nursing and Midwifery) portfolio. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team at Barwon Health.

This position has a strong emphasis on collaboration, education quality, and capacity-building. It is expected to systematically drive education best practice to ensure clinical best practice at point of care.

The Education Excellence Lead will contribute to nursing and midwifery workforce planning, including education workforce, with a focus on specialist and postgraduate pathways in affiliation with university partners.

This role will work closely with other education leadership roles and will deputise for the Manager - Centre for Education and Training - Nursing and Midwifery when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of educational excellence for the Specialty Education Pathways (Nursing and Midwifery) portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the wider Centre for Education and Training team at Barwon Health.
  • Contribute to nursing and midwifery workforce planning, including education workforce.
  • Develop and implement educational programs and information materials, including in a digital environment.
  • Deputise for the Manager - Centre for Education and Training - Nursing and Midwifery when required.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Nursing/Midwifery.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and delivering educational programs and information materials, including in a digital environment.
  • Sound business and human resource management knowledge and skills appropriate for leading a diverse team of educators.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including conflict resolution strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, systematically, and independently with a team-focused approach.
  • Highly developed writing and computer skills (outlook, excel, word, powerpoint).
