Overview

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Geriatrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading ward rounds on our virtual ward, supported by a Staff Grade doctor or SpR. They will also act as clinical supervisor for the junior team, providing guidance and mentorship as needed. This role involves daily consultant-led board rounds on an online platform, with a focus on providing expert clinical opinion on acute medical emergencies, rehabilitation, and intermediate care.

Requirements
  • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Geriatrics or within six months of the expected date of CCT (or eligible for entry within 6 months of application)
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Evidence of working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to organise and prioritise complex demands
