Clinical Nurse - General Medicine role at Metro South Health.
This role is in the Internal Medicine Unit, Ward 5C. It offers the opportunity to provide advanced clinical care and leadership across General Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, and Medically Unstable Eating Disorder patients in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver advanced clinical assessment, planning, and problem-solving in managing patients with complex care needs.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and education to support nursing staff, students, and the healthcare team.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, research, and the development of evidence-based nursing practices.
You will be an experienced and proactive nursing professional who demonstrates leadership, critical thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in acute medical, diabetes and endocrine care, and/or medically unstable eating disorders.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor, educate, and support a diverse nursing team.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development, and continuous quality improvement.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties.
