As a seasoned professional, you have the opportunity to take on a leadership role in our Stormwater and Flood Maintenance team. This position is responsible for effectively supervising works and teams to deliver high-quality maintenance of the City's sewer, stormwater, and flood mitigation systems.

About the Role

The Team Leader will demonstrate excellent leadership skills to achieve timely and productive outcomes on a range of projects. They will be responsible for planning and coordinating the sewer, stormwater, and flood maintenance teams' work activities including plant, materials, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, engage, mentor, and develop the team to ensure effective personnel management and achieve the best organisational and community outcomes.
  • Plan and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the sewer, stormwater, and flood maintenance teams.
  • Supervise maintenance activities including choke clearing, sewer main jetting and rodding, pipe laying and repair.
  • Coordinate and respond to customer service requests in accordance with approved service levels.
  • Undertake administrative duties relevant to the role including Work Health & Safety documentation and reports.
Requirements
  • Experience in leading and working effectively in a team and independently.
  • Qualifications relevant to the role and/or relevant experience related to the role.
  • Class C Driver's Licence.
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller Training Card and SafeWork NSW Implement Traffic Control Plans Training Card.
