Based in Albury or Wagga Wagga with hybrid working supported
Salary ranges from $99,938 to $110,271 plus super and leave loading

Join a team of professionals in the Reconnecting River Country Program, a key Murray-Darling Basin Plan initiative designed to improve the health of the environment through relaxing constraints to enable flexible delivery of water for environment.
The program aims to connect rivers to wetlands and floodplains through working with First Nations people, landholders and broader community to achieve quadruple bottom line outcomes.

About the Role
The Assistant Project Officer role is in our Operations Support team based in Albury and working throughout the Riverina on the Murrumbidgee and Murray River Systems.
This role undertakes a range of project support and coordination activities within NSW's Reconnecting River Country Program to support project outcomes and achievement of organisational objectives.
You project support will include:

Project and administrative support including monitoring and reporting on projects
Assisting the team with project plans, documentation and records management
Undertaking research and analysis
Communicating with stakeholders

About You
To be successful in the role, you will have experience in delivering multiple program support activities in line with agreed standards and objectives, given tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities.
With good communication and interpersonal skills, you have the demonstrated ability to exercise diplomacy and judgement when liaising with representatives of peak government and non-government bodies, key industry participants and members of the community.
You will be a team player who is motivated by working closely with others to achieve project objectives and team goals, whilst having the ability to work autonomously as required.
