Project Director

Delivering Sustainable Infrastructure Projects

The Project Director plays a pivotal role in delivering projects across capital water infrastructure, including valves, hydrants, water pump stations, network renewals, and water main replacements.

In addition to managing the delivery phase of the program's renewals projects, you will collaborate with design, scheduling, cost, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth transitions and project success.

The team is at the forefront of civil construction initiatives, including water and wastewater treatment plants, extensive water and wastewater networks, critical asset renewal projects, and flagship sustainable energy and utilities projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, coordinate, and deliver complex projects varying in size and scope.
  • Foster innovation, develop members, provide mentoring, leading by example, and demonstrating commitment to excellence.
  • Support budget management processes and collaborate with senior stakeholders to optimize costs and implement improvements.
  • Support procurement processes, including implementation of procurement management plans and supplier engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with design teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to support optimal delivery across projects.

Requirements:
  • Engineering qualification with substantial experience managing civil projects on capital infrastructure.
  • Project Management certification and willingness to obtain RPEQ.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic contracting service-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Developed analytical, planning/prioritization, financial planning, and budgeting skills.
