Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Pegasus Supply Solutions Pty Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects, purchasing and sales teams, warehouse and bond management, statutory compliance, and HR/payroll functions of the business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations:
- Oversee the financial operations of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to optimize financial stability.
- Coordinate with external accountants and ensure all financial records are accurately maintained.
- Coordinate and manage the purchasing and sales teams to achieve business objectives, including the setup of new business departments and flows.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Set performance targets for the teams and regularly review progress against goals.
- Provide training, support, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment.
- Implement and maintain effective bond management practices to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all statutory compliance requirements are met, including health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of warehouse and bond management processes to ensure adherence to standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve warehouse efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and ensure timely submission of required documentation and reports.
- Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support a positive work environment and organizational culture.
- Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits.
- Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR information.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
- Conduct regular reviews of HR practices and recommend improvements to enhance employee engagement and retention.
