About the Role:
At abrs - Australian Barnardos Recruitment Service, we are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the return to work of individuals who have experienced injuries within the CTP Insurance scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify and align claimants' goals with suitable employment opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to overcome barriers to securing suitable employment.
- Provide vocational counseling to claimants facing challenges in transitioning to new employment.
- Coordinate and deliver Labour Market Analysis as part of the Earning Capacity Assessments.
- Oversee Job Placement Activities, working closely with the Employment Consultant Team to secure job interviews and suitable employment opportunities for claimants.
- Prepare and submit high-quality, accurate reports on services provided.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling.
- Current registration with AHPRA (Full or Provisional) or ASORC Membership (Full or Associate).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships.
- A strong understanding of WHS & EEO principles.
- Valid Working with Children's Check, National Police Check Certificate, and a current driver's license with a reliable vehicle.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of NSW Compulsory Third Party claim processes.
- Experience working as a Rehabilitation Consultant within a return-to-work scheme.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in Transferable Skills Analysis, Labour Market Analysis, and Earning Capacity Assessments.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently while meeting all stakeholder communication and assessment deadlines.
- Effective use of clinical skills, including motivational interviewing, to engage claimants in their rehabilitation programs.
- Demonstrated ability to produce quality reports and maintain system and data compliance.
Additional Information:
- Adherence to organisational policies, WHS requirements, and all legislative and funding obligations is mandatory.
- Active participation in staff meetings, training, and performance reviews is expected.
