Senior Explosives Specialist

This is a challenging opportunity to lead our explosives testing and evaluation team, overseeing the development of explosive products and ballistic systems.

  • Perform routine and non-routine technical work requiring chemical and instrumental analysis
  • Supervise, train, and assist team members in propellant, ballistic, cast composite, and high explosives analysis
  • Lead test and trial site activities, ensuring compliance with safety practices and maintenance operations
  • Implement Quality Control techniques and ensure adherence to standards
  • Function as an ISO/IEC 17025 signatory where applicable

We require on day one a degree qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience, certified Workplace Trainer & Assessor (desirable), and knowledge of laboratory calibrations, standardization procedures, and quality control techniques. A valid Explosive Licence (Unsupervised Handling) & Shotfirer certification are also preferred.
