
Highway Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to lead our on-highway workshop. This is a challenging opportunity for someone who is passionate about managing a team and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
- Oversee the workflow of the on-highway workshop, ensuring that repairs meet customer schedules and maximize resource availability.
- Coach and develop technicians in repair routines, promoting safety and quality in all aspects of the workshop environment.
- Develop strategies to improve productivity and efficiency, focusing on customer satisfaction and achieving customer schedules for return of vehicles.
We require:
- 5 years minimum experience in the Heavy Vehicle or Engine business.
- Sound technical knowledge and expertise in Series 60, MTU and Allison Product lines.
- Knowledge of industry/locality and a genuine passion and drive to motivate the team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record of leadership and management.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
About this role
This is a key position within our organization, responsible for managing the on-highway workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technicians and coordinating the workflow of the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop Management:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the on-highway workshop.
- Coordinate the workflow of the workshop to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Talent Development:
- Coach and develop technicians in repair routines.
- Identify training needs and provide support to ensure the development of staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
Customer Focus:
- Deliver exceptional service to our customers.
- Ensure that customer schedules are met and exceeded.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
