Overview

Drafter – Roads and Highways role at SMEC. Location: Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. This opportunity is with SMEC's Roads & Highways team.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the preparation of schematic and production drawings
  • Using standard and modified drafting methods/techniques to solve problems
  • Production of construction level documentation
  • Check print procedures
  • Issuing procedures
  • Vault data management processes
  • Revit structural modelling
  • Assume responsibility for the results of simple projects or sections under supervision
  • Liaise with stakeholders to obtain information required for drawings and documentation tasks
  • Carry out design tasks as directed to meet agreed outcomes and cost structure
  • Produce model and/or drawings to timeline
About You
  • Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree
  • 5 years relevant drafting experience within the industry
  • Familiar with Civil Infrastructure and CADD technologies
  • Software: CADD technologies with emphasis on the Autodesk suite of products
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise own workload
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations
