The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive and ongoing risk assessments, safety planning, crisis support, advocacy, information, and referrals to support clients affected by domestic and family violence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone and face-to-face comprehensive and ongoing risk assessments, safety planning, crisis support, advocacy, information, and referrals.
  • Provide trauma-informed domestic and family violence support.
  • Provide face-to-face court support and advocacy.
  • Provide group work services to individuals.
  • Play an active role in keeping perpetrators of family violence in view and holding them accountable.
  • Undertake and/or participate in case coordination and case management of clients.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications within the human services field.
  • Previous experience and skills in gender-based violence risk assessment, trauma-informed practice, safety planning, DFV counselling, case management, and crisis management.
  • Working knowledge of the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012 and knowledge of court and legislative proceedings.
  • High degree of sensitivity, resilience, and discretion.
  • Ability to remain calm and make professional assessments under pressure.
  • Values that match the values and feminist ethos of Pure Source Recruitment Pty.
  • Current driver's license, current Blue Card, and National Police Check.
